LIFELESS-LIKE

This is Lifeless Like. I've had this one in a few gallery shows and most people think its an angry painting which has always amused me becuase its exactly the opposite. I had just watched the movie Smokey and The Bandit and was laughing to myself, while working on it, about how much the Bandit reminded me of my brother Shawn. Also I was singing Eastbound and Down by Jerry Reed (The Snowman) from the soundtrack that was stuck in my head at the time. See...Happy Times.
Two last things: Most people dont know that the movie was actually nominated for an Academy Award...granted it was for Best Film Editing. And lastly: I was thinking that if my brother Shawn were a decal it would be the Firebird on the hood of a sweet Trans Am...
